REGENERATIVE INJECTION THERAPY
A definition of RIT is as follows: harnessing the use of the regenerative mechanisms and energies of the body to repair the injured, degenerative, and weakened overstretched structures of the ligaments, tendons, muscle, cartilage, and bone, by the use of small needles to introduce bioactive, stimulating, nutrients, growth factors and acupuncture in a safe and effective method.
This may include the following subtypes:

ENHANCED PROLOTHERAPY
Mesotherapie
The concept that nutrients placed into prolotherapy solution could improve the results of the injection was discussed in many meetings Dr. Fortier-Bensen either spoke at or attended. While teaching at Capitol University of Integrative Medicine, he learned about Dr. Pistor who used a different tactic to improve structural dysfunctions. He went to visit a number of French Mesotherapists in their offices to learn their techniques and how to add these nutrients to his repertoire, and improve his success. These techniques have allowed Dr. Fortier-Bensen to further evaluate nutritional insuffiencies in the people who ask for his help to improve their function. European athletes use mesotherapie for their sports injuries, and exposure to their injuries improved the way Dr. Fortier-Bensen thinks about injuries.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
This treatment will help heal tendon and ligament injuries including tennis, golf elbow, shin splints, Carpal tunnel syndrome, ACL tears, shin splints, iliotibial band syndrome, rotator cuff tears, plantar fasciitis and low back pain. This treatment is provided concurrently with nutritional medicine for optimal results.

PRP has been found to repair via four possible mechanisms:
1) Physical debridement of nonvitalized tissue.
2) Release of growth factors into the injured tissue
3) Modulation of inflammatory cascade system
4) Recruitment of stem cells from the bone marrow

Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC)
This is a treatment where bone marrow stem cells and mesenchymal cells are used to repair damaged bone injuries.
